At-Large Musical Theater Auditions

Only singers who study with active members of the Great Plains and Oklahoma chapters are eligible to compete in the At-Large auditions.

These auditions will be virtual and will take place solely online.  A panel of three judges from around the region will be appointed by the region governor and the auditions will be overseen by the At-Large Auditions Chair, Melinda Brou.

Below is a list of all of the guidelines for the At-Large Auditions, but you can also access these details along with the At-Large Audition APPLICATION by click on the following link: http://tinyurl.com/mymsfyd

VIDEO SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

The Texoma guidelines for video submission follow the NATS National guidelines available here: YouTube Round Video Submissions

**The one exception to the guidelines is that you will submit one continuous, unedited video of all selections, rather than a video for each repertoire selection.

You will need the link to your YouTube video to copy and paste into this application. Your link must be “live” and “public” at the time of your submission.

PHOTOCOPY POLICY:

Accompanists are forbidden to use photocopies in the videos. Pianists accompanying singers must play from original and legal publications. Entries with visible photocopies will be automatically disqualified. Photocopying music is illegal. The purchase of a publication does not grant the right to photocopy for rehearsal or performance with a pianist. The use of LEGALLY downloaded and purchased copies in compliance with the NATS Copyright Policy is allowed.  It is assumed that all singers were in compliance with the policy at the time of their region audition and videos should be made as if singers are at a live NATS audition.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNERS:

It is anticipated that results of the auditions will be emailed to auditionees and the Texoma membership by March 25, 2015. (**The top three winners from each category will be eligible to submit applications to the YouTube round of the National Student Auditions.)
